| ABOUT INTERACTION |
| InterAction is a high-profile British Council initiative that will support emerging African leaders as they face up to the challenges of the 21 st Century. It is aimed at supporting those dynamic individuals who are innovating, searching for alternatives and challenging accepted ways of doing things. It is central to the British Council's corporate strategy to achieve greater impact in sub-Saharan Africa. |

The programme has the following
elements:
- A transformational leadership programme that
helps individuals self-learn and effect change in their own environment.
What started as a vision of a group of people with practical
experience of leadership in Africa has resulted in a leadership
programme where participants make a significant contribution
to the curriculum; where learning from each other and learning
by doing are built into the design; and where leaders from all
backgrounds, sectors and cultures work together to understand
the complexity of the challenges they share as well as the opportunities
that are available to make a positive contribution to society.
The programme is held annually, where participants have to undergo a selection process in order to join the programme. So keep a look out for adverts in your local media for the next round! For more details on the programme, please visit the FAQ page.
- Platforms to profile African concerns on the global stage through
Pan-African international Networking Events, such as seminars,
conferences and youth forums. Take a look at the upcoming events on the InterAction calendar as well as the recent past events.
- A interactive and constantly managed website, connecting the new leaders of today's Africa
