Some cultural practices do not encourage rapid growth and development in Africa,we must begin to have a synergy between traditional beliefs and modernisation in a contemporary world especially in this era of globalisation.

Dear Ahmed,
I agree with you. Look at some aspects of pastrolism in Kenya were at the moment famine has reached fever high. It’s not to say that northern parts of Kenya can not be productive if intensive efforts food production were effected, only that the cultural belief of owning large herds of livestocks is destroying the land through overgrazing and soil degradation by overtrodding. I concur with you, what powerful positive distruptive questions can be asked to change the perspection of our people to do away with culturals practises and beliefs that are retrogressive to development? Over to you.
Regards,
Carrie- Kenya
