Enabling others inspires me
Nancy
08 Jul 2008

InterAction has stirred a revolution in me beyond the thrilling modules and PAE. I am so happy that I am living the passions of InterAction.

I took in so much of the Appreciative Inquiry and it has become part of me. I was hardly conscious of the ripple effect this was having on those around me... till I discovered that my friends started challenging my attitude with powerful questions. I can\'t hide a smile each time this happens.

I do not tell others that I am patriotic....The passion for my community and the desire to be the change I want to see, does the talking.

A few weeks ago, I had to conduct an HIV test in a community with faith-based health collaborators. However having spent just two days with them, they remarked.." You are quite some patriotic young lady, aren't you, do you intend getting involved in politics?"

It is hardly a bed of roses walking the talk, challenging attitudes seen as the "usual" and appreciating things, which work, in an apparently challenging situation. However the passion in my heart, to be the change I want to see, is stronger, driving force, which propels me against all odds.

The pursuit to enable others to see the greatness that lies in them and their role in contributing to the greatness of Africa is my source of inspiration. It gives me positive energy to overcome.
